I definitely dream of one day building the ultimate system and room. I see what some of these crazy guys do with truly giant custom horn installations and they make me drool, but (like most of us) I've never had an opportunity to hear one of these crazy systems (see pics).
But I'm guessing at...
It's becoming apparent that the next gremlin I need to solve for is isolating my Garrard 301 (Artisan Fidelity Statement build with two arms, approximately 24" x 18" and 65 pounds) from my rack and (if possible) as much internally produced vibrations from the motor and air bourne vibrations...
My Artisan Fidelity Garrard 301 Statement is finally complete. Looking forward to receiving it. Thought you guys might appreciate some pics since it's a new veneer he's not used before.
This is on my short list of tables to review. Planning a trip to their showroom in early August, but curious if people have heard this table and can comment on the sound since I can't find anything online about this table.
I'd be getting it with a Schroder Reference arm to use with my Koetsu...
I was just reading an article in The Audio Beat from August of 2014 where Roy Gregory laments about the trials and tribulations of the audio reviewer. He specifically addresses the challenges he faces when big speakers arrive and the article references the Living Voice Vox Olympian/Vox Elysian...
I'm infatuated with this company & speaker based on reputation, design approach and aesthetics. Anyone heard these who can describe their sonic signature, strengths and weaknesses?
Thinking of getting an outdoor hot tub so I can enjoy the mostly chilly evenings at my house. I've been looking at the brand Hot Springs. Any other high quality manufacturers I should be looking at with a budget in the $5-8K range?
Also, I've never owned a hot tub. What do I need to know...
I'm currently running a Koetsu Blue Lace on a Brinkmann Oasis with a Graham Phantom Supreme II on an all Shindo (amp, pre-amp and speakers) system. I have this sneaky suspicion that the Graham isn't the best mate for the Koetsu.
Which arms are known to be fantastic matches for Koetsu stone...
Hi guys. I have a pro here doing my setup. We're running into an issue mounting my Koetsu Blue Lace into the Graham Phantom Supreme II. We've tried several protractors and it just isn't working. Would love to hop on the phone with you if you have any experience. PM me. I'll delete this post later.
I realize there's a post about the Entreq grounding/power products. At nearly 1,300 posts and growing, I find it a bit too much to wade through to better understand their solution. I'm hoping this thread can better serve those of us looking to take the Entreq plunge.
Specifically, I'd like to...
I pulled the trigger on the Koetsu Blue Lace. I'm a bit confused about pairing it with my pre-amp or another SUT.
I have a Shindo Vosne Romanee. I also have the standard A23 SUT made for the Denon 103. My understanding is that the A23 I have is made for medium output carts like my Delos. I...
Looks like I need to send my Lyra Delos in for servicing (wasabi paper has some issues). Could take 8 weeks to turn around. I was already planning to upgrade in a few months, so thinking I'll do it now since I don't wanna go without vinyl for 2 months and don't have a backup cart.
I'm...
I have another thread going about tube friendly speakers, but wanted to post this about 3 specific options I'm considering.
Since I'm moving into a much bigger house in November, I'll finally have a room big enough for "big" speaker and sound I've always wanted.
I'm really intrigued by...
I've been upgrading my system from good to great. I addressed the analog front end first and now have something respectable (Brinkmann Oasis w/ Graham Phantom II Supreme, Lyra Delos, SimAudio Moon 310LP, and Acrolink 8N Reference Phono Cable.
The system is being driven by a PrimaLuna Premium...
Longtime lurker, but first time poster here.
I've been upgrading my system from pretty good to pretty fantastic. I've recently addressed my analog front end and have it almost where I want it. I'd like to address my speakers and amp next. Love the look of the R-1's and what I've been able to...
