Thanks Mulveling, I'll have to hunt down some ME sheets - never heard of them. This surely seems about the best method available to keep that stylus clean and shiny, maybe along with the occasional dip in the DS Audio goo pad and swipe with the Lyra SPT. I've been using a wedge shaped piece of...

That rotation procedure sounds like it might be very effective - must give it a try. So how thick is the ME piece when sitting on the platter?

One thing for sure it plays the vintage Blue Note/Prestige, etc. mono records with the most slam I've ever heard.

UEM - I returned the cart to the Koetsu factory (shop) in Japan. Koetsu are pretty slim on details, but the cartridge was completely rebuilt to their design of a mono version retaining the body and perhaps platinum magnet.

Yes, Koetsu Japan. Pre-rebuild the cartridge was a stereo variant with boron cantilever and fine-line stylus but I decided to go mono for this segment of it's life cycle. When I ordered the rebuild through dealer I was advised that the aluminum cant is standard for mono.

Currently any new or rebuilt Koetsu mono cartridges, be them stone or wood bodies, are supplied with aluminum cantilever and specified at approx. 3g tracking force. I'm not sure of the stylus profile but will snap a micro photo and post it. This thing tracks beautifully on the AMG arm but am...

Just had my Coralstone rebuilt to mono with aluminum cantilever and not quite sure of the stylus shape. Tracking at 3g on AMG 12" arm and so far loving it.

So I own Rhodonite, Blue Tigereye diamond and Coralstone mono ... do I owe it to myself to try wood bodied RSP? Must one be in the collection?

Which of those in the lineup of Koetsu photos is the Blue Tiger-Eye? Just curious.

Anyone got any experience of the Glanz MH-124S tonearm?

Fantastic looking setup .. congrats. I have been enjoying he exact same thing (except AS Aquilar arm in rear) for the last six months and can't say enough good about it. Running a Lyra Atlas Lambda SL in the 12.1 and Lyra Etna Lambda mono in the Aquilar. Would really love to add that Glanz...

Anyone got any experience of the Glanz MH-124S tonearm?

Dvuc, thanks for the response. I have a couple of Koetsu stone body cartridges and am thinking this arm looks like the perfect match and also just happen to have an armboard for Brinkmann Balance to accept it. And yeah, Ric at AnalogMagik is local to me, so I'll be in touch. Thx. again.
