Vishay Z-Foil vs Audio Note Non-Magnetic Resistors

A note that now niobium capacitors are also available. Have these been tested by others to any good effect? Wonder if you get a similar effect as the resistors changing oit wome niobium capacitors. By your discription the niobium resistor changes seem be have a very large positive effect on...

Vishay Z-Foil vs Audio Note Non-Magnetic Resistors

Is your preference the standard niobium. I cant tell, as all seems to be good in different ways. I gather the niobium was used at the input it could be too much or less suitable for the outputs you would think?

Stack Audio SmoothLAN ethernet isolation filter

How is the ongoing evaluation of the smoothlan this far. Would ir require another good lan cable to make the bridging connection for what it brings. Cost would quickly add up adding a nice lan cable to allow for the full benefits to be gained as i presume an investment for nice lan cable would...

Selection of digital cables BNC 75 Ohm.

Amir, i can only think of a handful for true 50/75 ohm high end custom produced digital cable. They like you said have to be very accurately machine made in tight tolerances only acheivable in coaxial construction. The brands that i can think of, Acorlink (oem - Esoteric rebranded), Black...

Selection of digital cables BNC 75 Ohm.

Wow, do the Omegas sound warmer than the Sigma V2 and on vocals? I do use the Acrolinks, 3100, 5100 and 6100 as well as Sigma V1. They are fuller and warmer and not as resolute as the Sigma V2. The Sigma V1 are more warm and organic than the Acrolinks, but not as resolute. They so far match...

Selection of digital cables BNC 75 Ohm.

Was this in a good way, can't really tell if you enjoyed the Omegas more. Ihave the Sigma v1 clock cables and then the Sigma V2. Yes, it was clearer, more open and neutral. Bass definately loss heft, especially in the upper bass. I never got around to like the sound, though objectively...

Waversa EXT-LAN Reference and Streamer - My Take

Michael, It will be most interesting to everyone, i believe to debunk the network gemlins since you already have the TG Optical Bridge in place and thus, in theory, do not have any EMI , nasties or noise issues for the wider lan lines coming through to your steaming pathway for the Waversa...

FYI: Lessloss Blackground Power Base - a filter for atmospheric radiation noise

Hi Macf, Could you share more, i read that Boenicke uses also the speaker firewalls in his designs and maybe if there was any discussion on the Speaker bases in your conversations with Sven I use them to very good effect together with thw 240x firewalls and looking to know what to expect from...

FYI: Lessloss Blackground Power Base - a filter for atmospheric radiation noise

Thanks for the reply. Interestingly, reading and it seems the 10x and speaker bases possibly are best place close to, above/below source equipments to get the most impact over any other placements. That may prove very challenging or impossible for me.

FYI: Lessloss Blackground Power Base - a filter for atmospheric radiation noise

macf, Is the speaker base shipping as yet, it states on LL site that it is an early bird presales. How do you have a unit already? Was it more impressive than the 10x ground?

    Should i surrender? Perlisten sub

Would it be much more challenging to intergrate a 12" sub with the 8" TAD's bass as i can imagine a 8" driver to be very much lighter and faster given the mass for a 12" subs driver, even the very fastest of larger subs i imagine will struggle to to keep up.

Is the sound or character of your Sablon Prince or King cables still recoginizable or identifiable?

    QSA LANEDRI Series

So with the added mass of the Gamma infinity cables and price performance range, could we equate the Gamma Infinty level at around a QSA yellow or red treatment level. As the Gamma Infinity lan cable thus, still gets improved with the Silver lan jitters used together.

    QSA LANEDRI Series

Am too wondering the treatment level of the Ethernet cables. The QSA has Gold level which cost even more, but QSA uses a different base cable.

QSA - Lanedri and the Audiophile Version of the Philosophers’ Stone

I am tryimg to figure and conteplating acquiring the lan cable which was much said to show very much the QSA effect even over the power cables of much higher mass. Lan cables are possibly the smaller conductor gauges commonly 26 to 30awg. This is a far cry from a 0 gauge conductor which was...

DOEPKE Residual Current Circuit Breaker AUDIO GRADE

In my case, the Gigawatt breakers installed after the Doepke somewhat madeup for the Deopke sounding overly calm for my system and preference. It is very tube like sounding when i added it. It is excellent sounding otherwise, so calm and rich, it sounded sleepy to me. Please swap back the...

DOEPKE Residual Current Circuit Breaker AUDIO GRADE

Wow, this the exact effect for me as well, i recognised its better tone colour and warmth, but it felt noticeable slower and duller when introduced in my dedicated mains. Even as my unit burned, your post is spot on as mine, not one other poster ever described this effect except that bit was a...

Replacement tube suggestions for Premier 12 monoblocks

Yes, I refer to the Yugo EI KT90 and not the EH KT90. Manley and VTL had to change to other tube types as EI's were no longer available as the EI factory was bombed. I hear the same back then, Manley and VTL had to say the other tube types were better in their amps, only because the EI...

Replacement tube suggestions for Premier 12 monoblocks

My 12's really woke up with the Ei kt90's III and was the only type of output tube that made mine sound like a V12! That was so long ago and rolled NOS Tungsol 6550, GECs KT88 which were beautiful in their own way. With smaller floorstanders, the Kt90's were really spectacular! Energy and...

    streamer or DAC ?

Please do not forget or neglect everything that comes before the streamer. A whole ecosystem before. Start with a dac you like and start with a reference the sound with cd be it Tidal or Quobuz. Find also which service you find more material you like as opposed to the sonics. That should be...

    Esprit Cables

    Esprit Cables

What I found most is that the Gaia has the ability to unravel each and every single sound clearly in own bubble of space with a most surgical like precision, as opposed to being sculptured out in the hands of an artist. Upper mids and highs reminiscent to the Argento cables. Pure and...

    Esprit Cables

Unfortunately, I do not have more with me to do so. It so far has good deal of quietness fed into a Sound application distributor. Definately more towards the neutral, Very balanced presetation. I can surely imagine the excellent of clean and clear sound for orchestral pieces for the get go.

    Esprit Cables

Esprit Gaia - From zero hours, quick listen. The first competition, Goebel Larcorde. I don't listen to symphonic music, so this might not be an ideal candidate. I will make an exception and compare against my reference concert grand! Will it be too much to ask for the time being?
