AC Kassandra Inputs - Is There a 'Best' Option?

Using a pink faun ultra the usb is the way to go. better in every way compared to aes. The good thing about this server is you can install a new usb/aes/? card in the future when a better one is developed. So your not stuck with the old tech down the track.

    My Pinkfaun 2.16 ultra experience

Congrats on a great system. I have used the Pink Faun Ultra for a few years now and I am very happy with it. I especially like Stylus and prefer it to Roon sonically. Bonus is its free and built it :) If you have the opportunity try demo/listening to dual Ultra it is another big step forward...

    Tad reference 1

I owned the R1. Tried a heap of amplifiers but the end of the day the loudspeaker was not enjoyable for long listening sessions in my experience. The mids/highs too coarse. Music selection shrank due to some recordings being unlistenable. I have had a negative opinion of beryllium since and...

    Various DAC Audition Impressions

Interesting read but I wouldnt take any kind of conclusions from it. Its a look into one mans journey which is appreciated. Im a big fan of using components in their native configuration. Using a single ended dac such as the Kassandra with XLR isnt ideal.

    Endeavor SE Impressions & Recommendations

I would agree with Steves comments. Recently I heard the ESE and im gobsmacked at what it manages to pull off. The beryllium tweeter manages to produce pristine highs without the typical harshness associated with beryllium tweeters. Ive listened to TAD and Magico speakers with beryllium...

T+A PA 3100 HV VS Gryphon Diablo 300

Some really good recommendations here. The Grandinote is the best integrated ive heard. Its got huge amount of current and will drive most speakers. The new Supremo integrated I haven't heard but is reported to be a huge leap in performance from the lower models.

Ypsilon DAC 1000 SE silver edition

Thanks for the insight in the Ypsilon dac. Ive always enjoyed the Ypsilon sound. 34keuro is pretty steep though. Aries Cerat Kassandra Dac is almost half the price. I would be interested in a comparison with it.

    Ypsilon vs Aries Cerat pre-power

Ive listened to both. In totally different systems though. The Aries Cerat for me had more texture and shading of image that was quite striking. For me Aries Cerat is in another league than anything else ive heard. Both great brands though. Can't imagine you being unhappy with either.
