How would you spend my money?

Yes, The Wave High Fidelity STORM digital BNC interconnect cables make a BIG difference with the Chord DAVE and Chord M Scaler. So much so, I would say they are a MUST for DAVE & M Scaler. They were specifically designed and built for the Chord Blu, Chord DAVE and Chord M Scaler ! And Nick...

Kuzma 4Point - which tonearm wire?

That is not the case for the CH Precision P1 (currently one of the best current input / transimpedance Phono Stages out there) where it doesn't matter due to how the RCA and XLR inputs are connected within the unit !

Kuzma Stabi R compared to a Garrard 301/401??

I haven't had this problem with my 4Point 11" on some warped records I have regarding poor / mis tracking nor any difference to the sound whether the record is warped or not !

Kuzma Stabi R compared to a Garrard 301/401??

Hi 'Keyplayer', A lovely TT set-up ! Have you directly compared the Kuzma Ebony Spindle Clamp (that's in your photo) vs the Kuzma screw down Spindle Clamp ?

    Living Voice R80 OBX

A great write up /metei'. Thank you. Yes, before you wrote your post, and when I listened to the R80's last year at a UK Hifi Show and the OBX RW4's in 2022 also at a UK HiFi Show, I too was in awe at the beautiful musical and romantic sound from these amazing speakers that were connected to...

    SET amp owners thread

Hi 'metei', I forgot to ask how you like the CH Precision equipment you have ? Is one of the CH components I see in your photo a Power Amp i.e.. an A1.5 ? If it is, did you link up the CH Power Amp to the R80's ? And if you did, how did they sound ? If not, i.e. because you don't...

    SET amp owners thread

Congratulations 'metei'. The Living Voice R80's are lovely speakers both from a visual and a sound prospective. If you seen and heard them at last year's High-End Munich hifi show, you may have known that Kevin Scott (from Definitive Audio and Living Voice Speakers and the Designer and...

Brinkmann Balance vs. J. Sikora Reference- Battle of the $50K Belt Drives

I would also add the Kuzma XL DC as just one extra TT to look into if you can (unless you have already considered it and it doesn't appeal to you) !

General Question about Belt Drive Turntables

My Kuzma XL DC TT's Motor Pod and Tonearm Tower don't move at all due to their pure static weight i.e. 10kg and 14kg respectively ! My Motor Pod and the Tonearm Tower I am currently using (I have two Tonearm Towers) are also at the back of my TT Platter's Bearing & Platform Unit so no chance...

    KUZMA XL AIR

Your welcome Simon. Yes, Definitive Audio / Living Voice / SJS Electroacoustics Arcadia Systems made me feel very emotional to some of the classical music they were playing on both of their systems (i.e. forst system I heard was with the Kuzma Stabi R & 4Point 14" arm and CAR50 cartridge with...

Moved my post from SAFIR9 thread to this thread regarding my reply to 'simonthepieman' post that was in the SAFIR9 thread for the Kuzma XL AIR; Hi Simon, Yes I have had the great pleasure from Definitive Audio (Kevin and Lynn Scott) to have heard the Kuzma XL AIR TT with the Kuzma Safir9 and...

    High Mass thread Drive

Hi Peter, It was just a general question of interest only i.e. not to specifically purchase one (as much as I would like to - at least not in this lifetime anyway - i.e. after doing some online researching this morning and finding past information on one being advertised back in 2019 I can now...

Belt Drive vs Direct Drive and which one?

If your thinking of upgrading to the Brinkmann Balance, I would also consider a Kuzma XL DC with 4Point 11" or 14" arm. Love mine so I am biased towards the XL DC ! Or if the XL DC is too expensive then a Kuzma Stabi M ?

Belt Drive vs Direct Drive and which one?

    The XL AIR !

Belt Drive vs Direct Drive and which one?

Yes, Kuzma now make a lighter (approx. 1.3kg) version of the Outer Ring Clamp that can be used for all of their TTs. In the past they only made one for the Stabi M and XL TTs which was heavier (approx. 2kg). But they stopped making it some time ago and only make the lighter one now (which of...

Belt Drive vs Direct Drive and which one?

The Kuzma Stabi R is a great TT especially with a matching Kuzma Tonearm. I heard it matched with the Kuzma 4Point 14" and a Kuzma CAR50 cartridge in an overall £120+k system last year. The overall system sound was fantastic. I think for it's performance vs it's cost it is the best value for...

The new audiophile vinyl series The Original Source from Deutsche Grammophon (AAA)

Played them all weekend gone. All sound fantastic on my system to my ears. Only issue I had (and the first issue with all of the TOS batches I have had to date) was with the Steinberg Box Set with 'Holst the Planets, 'Mercury' (last track on first side) where I had a serious mis-track...

Linn Sondek 50th anniversary, really that good?

Linn Sondek 50th anniversary, really that good?

I had one of the earlier (early 1980's) Linn Sondek TT's with the Linn basic tonearm and Linn basic cartridge. It was hooked up to basic Naim electronics which were connected to Linn Kan speakers. The performance of the Sondek wasn't very reliable and consistent i.e. some days it would...

    Upgrading from P1 to Mono-P1 : experience & tips

But two used P1s and two used X1s is still much cheaper (and with being bought over a respectable period of time to save up the funds for each upgrade stage - i.e. P1 to P1+X1 to 2xP1 + X1 to 2xP2 + 2xX1) than buying a brand new P10 in one go. Maybe one day in the distant future when some used...

    Upgrading from P1 to Mono-P1 : experience & tips

Yes 100% agree with you 'gian60'. It's a fantastic upgrade ! I bought a used one owner CH X1 just before Xmas last year. So pleased I did after using the CH P1 without an X1 for over 13 months. Now I am wondering how much better 2 x P1 with 2 x X1 will sound vs the 1 x P1 and 1 x X1 ?
