Taiko Audio Extreme DC Power Distributor

Having used several DC cables with the DCD, the DC cables supplied by Taiko are very good. I have found that DC cables can have a significant impact on our sound quality so I have trialed several different brands. In a similar way that we demo different interconnects we find that they can shape...

    Sablon DC cable

Mark, I will be one that is interested in a potential DC cable upgrade for the Extreme router/DCD. I am currently using a Sablon DC cable to power my home router (Ubiquiti) from a Plixir LPS. Are you considering circulating a demo cable for the Extreme router/DCD?

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Nenon, I am using XDMS and use a DAC cable to connect between the Taiko switch and the Extreme. Are your recommendations the same in this application? I am wired...not wireless.

    Totaldac new DACs

Vincent, can you recommend these new feet if we stack either the monoblocs or (2) reclockers? Or should these feet be used when we sit the monobloc's/reclockers on a firm surface such as wood, stone or composite laminate shelf that may be typical for many high-end racks? If your new feet are...

    Whither Audio Research

Agreed...I searched long and hard for a preamp determined to find the best available, either tube or SS. Many folks had been ditching their preamps to go direct from DAC to amp. I happened to be in the right place at the right time and found my ARC Ref10 SE. To date, it has proven to be bullet...

    Whither Audio Research

ARC is such an iconic brand, a pillar in high end audio. There is much value in the name they will either reorganize, right size manufacturing or the name and remaining assets will be sold to continue the brand. As a longtime resident of Minneapolis and owner of so many ARC amps and preamps I...

My mistake, perhaps my spade is slightly smaller than yours.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

I am using a Granite Audio Ground Zero ground cable which attaches to a Shunyata Everest. Perhaps my spade is slightly larger than the spade you are trying to attach here. It is a tight fit but I was able to make it work.

    Totaldac new DACs

Hello Vincent, As a TD d1-12 owner, will we still be offered an upgrade option to this higher end DAC? Also thank you for expressing your willingness to explore a new input option to your DAC's from Emile/Taiko, TACDD. I would imagine it may be too soon at this point but could this new DAC be...

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Holy OMG! When Emile, a master of the understatement, calls the result of the network card + switch "magical" we are in for a real sonic treat.

    Sablon spdif / aes

Mark, an interesting find! I applaud that you let your ears guide you. Might I find something similar with my TotalDac 12 mk2? I use your AES between my first and second TotalDac reclockers. Perhaps I should add this RCA for my Demo?

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

I would like to thank Ed for his persistence and patience in getting XDMS up and running with my Extreme. After a couple false starts XDMS is sounding marvelous. As good as TAS was, I find XDMS even more emotionally involving. It is fascinating what software development can do to improve...

Which cables do you use with CH Precision products?

I believe you are correct...when possible, please include me in the circulation of the demo EVO's.

Which cables do you use with CH Precision products?

There are a couple consistencies when using the Sablon XLR's relative to other cables that have been in my system. There is a greater density or added weight to the music that sounds lifelike and natural. Being sensitive to a thin or threadbare sound, this quality is highly valued. Classical...

    Aesthetix Io Output Connection Poll

I use the balanced outputs out of my IO into my ARC Ref10 SE. I must admit that my balanced cables (Tara Labs Evolution) are a much better set of cables compared with my single-ended (Cardas Cross) and thus provide an advantage to balanced. Most notable, the balanced outputs provide greater...

What are the sonic differences between Digital Connections for TotalDAC?

I am using a Extreme for my server/streamer which has been optimized for USB (and having updated USB card installed), however Vincent has indicated that AES is the preferred method of input to my TD d1-12 mk3 DAC. But in my situation USB is preferred. I also employ a second reclocker (TD...

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Congrats to you, Wilson and his team and of course Emile! But there was little doubt that XDMS would be a success with respect to sound quality. Has there been a decision on how to release XDMS to your remaining users? Will there be a calendar for us to sign in to similar to what we completed...

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

I did use a Mutec for conversion from the USB/Extreme to my TotalDac but have since removed from my system. After adding a second TotalDac reclocker I felt there was a noticeable overall improvement by using the USB output from the Extreme into the first reclocker and then using the AES/EBU...

    Sablon Evo usb cable

I was fortunate to be included in the US demo tour of the new EVO cable. First, I really appreciate that Mark offers this service to prospective buyers. Truth be told I doubt if many of these EVO cables ever make it to a second prospective buyer as once it is heard it is difficult to let go. I...

    Sablon Ethernet - 2020 model

TwinPeak, Nenon, thanks for the info on the high-tech door stops and share your concern regarding magnetic content. I will search for the Darko recommendation. There are other similar items on Amazon that are described as high quality stainless steel. Given that there is stainless steel that is...

    Sablon Ethernet - 2020 model

TwinPeak, first thanks for your review and photo. This may be a bit OT but what are those weights?/stabilizers in your photo that are sitting on top of the EtherRegen? Do you use these for performance purposes or to keep a light weight device in-place from the pull/stiffness of the cable. I use...

    Melco S100 audiophile switch

I do believe that when fiber is used as a input it is a 1Gb connection. When I use fiber to input (port 9) to the S100 my connection remains secure. This applies to both hi-res and lo-res streams. However in my system I find better sound quality when I use the 100Mb connection for both input and...
