Not sure if this is clearly jazz, but Canto Stefano, with Fausto Mesolella, (voice/guitar/bass, Mimi Ciaramella, drums, and Ferdinando Ghidelli, pedal steel; vinyl recording, fonè records, "Club of the 496," (only 496 copies made), One-Stage Pressing Process. There are some good times to be had in these grooves. Beautifully recorded, good tunes, highly recommended.

Just played this one through. Fantastic big group set up (NOT big band). Not your typical ECM record either.
Really good stuff, loved it!

When I was a kid my very first experience of live music was at about 7 listening to the Daly Wilson Big Band in which my uncle was the keyboard player. I grew up loving jazz and still have a soft place in my heart for the big band sound.

The big band is contemporary and interesting and very much alive and well!

Souvenance - Music for Oud Quartet & String Orchestra
Anouar Brahem, François Couturier, Klaus Gesing, Björn Meyer, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Pietro Mianiti

His album “The Outstanding Eyes of Rita” is (for me) his best.
