Nothing new here except they got someone to make a dmm blank in a smaller size...

Masters are always one-sided.

Dubplates sometimes are two-sided ( the apollo dubplates could be cut on both sides...)

DMM merits (and detriments) well discussed elsewhere.

As a former mastering studio owner the price (including retailer markup) isn't crazy. Each one cut takes time. Some cuts fail. Machine is costly. Nobody getting rich on this ;)

Now that i think about it the dubplate is probably on a '10 inch master' blank...

It looks like a full 12" from the photo and link above.

By the way, I know they indicated that it can be played on any record player, but is it really safe to play on the copper dub-plate with your precious diamond stylus?

I wonder if there is a long-term study on that.

A ten inch master blank is about 12" (and a twelve inch master blank is about 14") as you leave uncut the outer edge when making a master.

I doubt any real studies were conducted on cart wear tracking a DMM since it was never meant for that, and it came late in the game anyways. (Remember DMM was designed to shorten the processing steps to go from master to stamper, and due to that step reduction, possibly improve top end response.
