If those of you who've heard both will indulge me . . . although our new "great room" is big (30' x 18' with 9 1/2' ceilings), we've now cut the room with a couch and I realize we'll do a fair bit of near-field listening as well as listing from the far end of the room where the kitchen area is.

Was pretty set on A5's but there is a pair of M2's used for sale literally in the next town over. Obviously more money than the A5's, but now that the room is effectively smaller they are back on my mind.

Any comments on differences esp. bass output? On paper the 3 9-inch bass drivers of the A5's appear quite significant. If I had to pick between the diamond tweeter vs. "more bass" in a vacuum, I'd go with "more bass." I'm happy enough with the tweeter in our A3's (but admit to not knowing what we're missing).
