Anyone here using Albedo cables? I was wondering what your impression was of them.

Thanks in advance.

I have their SPDIF cable that goes between the LDMS and the Horizon. I like it a lot. It is not expensive. I compared it to Tchernov, Sternklang and Hijiri.

Many thanks. I have a full loom coming in for an evaluation in app. a month. I especially desire to hear their USB and AES cables. Their upper end speaker and interconnect cables are pricey though … about the same as Shunyata Omegas.

Hi have Albedo metamorphosis speaker cables. no other name would be more appropriate. A true revolution opening new world. Worth the price.

I'm waiting for a home audition of their speaker cables and power cords.

I used Shunyata Omega and Sigma 2 back then and have switched to all Albedo. All my interconnects and speakers cables are Metamorphosis Signature. Power cords I use Gravity 3 for distributors and Gravity 2 for the rest.

The improvement these cables brought are immense. When I did the demo, even the Monolith Reference was really good.

Can you please describe for us in detail the sonic improvements you have experienced switching to Albedo?

I would say improvement in every aspects in my system. More dynamic, wider and deeper soundstage, bass goes deeper and well defined. A lot of air, the high is extended without being harsh. I was quite reluctant at first knowing these are silver cables, but got converted.

Cables are system dependent. I had a home audition for Albedo Cables. They're some of the best made cables I've ever seen or used. I didn't like them in my system, so I returned them.

My dealer who sells Albedo is called Greg! Not sure is the same person. From G Point in the UK.
Greg Dryglla - also my dealer (lord we sound like such ganstas!) I've also tried the Albedo cables in my system. They were good for the money, solid performance but nothing I could get excited about.

As an alternative to Albedo have a look at Z-Axis by Paul Stratton. I have his reference level SPDIF and RCA interconnect between my LDMS and Golden Gate and Golden Gate and Concert Fidelity Preamp resepctively. These cables brough a significant improvement to bass response and control and also to overall coherence. There was less strain, a slightly brighter mid band and overall better dynamics. But as others have said, cables are so very system dependent.
