Amps suitable for Eggleston Ivy

Hello fellow audiophiles.

Would like to have suggestions, for amplifiers which could be a good match for the Eggleston Ivy speakers?

(I'm currently waiting for the speakers, but still missing to find some amps).

What's your general impression of the Ivy's?

My general impression is that they really shine with lots of muscle behind them. That's when the lower registers really flow most naturally. I'd love to hear Ivy's with the Boulder 2050s.

Didn't Bob Ludwig have a pair of these in his mastering room? or was it the Savoy's?
Anyway... I think he used some large Cello monoblocs. Definitely need power for these bad boys!

I had Eaglestone Rosa´s some years back driven by a Gryphon DM100/Elektra - I should stayed there!!!!!

In Dortmund i listen the savoy with big Pass Labs monoblocs, a fantastic setup.

I heard from former Ivy owner that the KRELL MRA was the only amp that properly drove his Ivy in his large (approx 60-70) sq/m room. That said, the pass labs xa 200.5 wasn't enough. In a smaller room, same Ivy sounded adequately powered by pass labs xs 300.

Ivy with FMA 1811 and 268.
1811 had no problem driving the Ivy's.

You should try gryphon mephisto stereo or solo. My friend is driving his ivy signature with Gryphon amp. Started with gryohon stereo, follow by gryphon mephisto solo within 6 months & now biamping with mephisto solo & mephisto stereo. I m using gryphon mephisto stereo with Savoy signature . Superb

I used to own the much smaller Eggleston Rosa. I always had Pass Class A amps. Eggleston and Pass used to demo together in Audio Shows. I found that more power was always better with the Rosa. You could try contacting Eggleston directly or the guys at Pass.

Boulder / Halcro are great SS amps .
That is a big sound speaker by the way although i never heard one
6 12 inchers per side
The min imp is quite high 5 ohms and a reasonable eff, a powerfull tube might work also
