Hi Everyone,
looking for a passive setup for my small office. I usually enjoy AMT speakers and am thinking of getting the Audiovector QR1. My other option from looking seems to be a lot of people recommend the KEaf LS50. The room is 13x13 feet and the speakers will initially be at my desk but I will move them to stands at some point. Source is my computer through a Quad Vena for now. So it will somewhat be a nearfield setup.

From my experience, both speakers are excellent. The LS50 Meta will have a more precise sound staging. The QR1s will have better bass and more breath in the sound. Tough choice, I advise auditioning them both to see which you like more.

Thanks for the insight. I did demo the LS 50 and although the place wasn't really an ideal setup and I had to sort of imagine myself nearfield with it I was pretty impressed with the imaging or soundstage. The QR1 is going to be tough to demo unless I spend about 7 hours driving unfortunately. My guess is the LS 50 probably is a safer choice for a small room near or semi-nearfield but the QR1 intrigues me and I generally like AMT tweeters.

I agree that LS50 Meta is a safer choice, especially in near-field scenarios. QR1 would be great in a more classic setup.
