I am curious if consumers see any value in the choice of ATC by the [audio] Library of Congress in Culpepper. Does their reliance on just one specific speaker mean anything to forum readers as an endorsement that the library curators think this speaker sounds "right"?
The Library is charged with documenting all audio and video and making it available to all of us upon demand. They spend time restoring every source they can find, regardless of age, from old wax cylinders to broken 16 inch LP's to master tapes. They glue one of kind broken records back together and microscopically repair them, using a laser to read them. They are still baking tapes and rebuilding tape libraries. I've had a chance to tour the facility a coupe of times and Its the most incredible audio library on the planet. They have a ton of gear to play every obscure audio medium you can think of.
