Hi, I am looking for some advice. Basically, I want to get the best possible sound from my Logitech z906 surround sound setup whilst connected to my PC.
It is currently connected to my PCs onboard audio output (3 auxillary cables), which will give me positional audio, which is what I like when I am gaming, etc but I would like to improve the quality of the audio/connectivity. I have had a look at some DACs (not sure if that is exactly what I need in this case) which seems to only offer RCA outputs (don't think this will allow true surround sound).
I have had a look at onboard sounds cards, such as the Sound Blaster AE-7, which seems to have everything I am after, though I am willing to forego the bells and whistles such as built in mic etc for the sake of better audio/connectivity.
My budget is 500 AUD.
