I like Gary Jules' Mad World, Nirvana's Jesus Don't Want Me for a Sunbeam, and Bjork's It's Oh So Quiet.

I don't like Lenny Kravtiz' American Woman and Pearl Jam's Last Kiss

Driving home a half hour ago I heard Pearl Jam’s cover of “Last Kiss.” I like it. (original Wayne Cochran, 1961) Sorry x1992 (above), we disagree on that one.

Amos Lee‘s cover of “Speed of the Sound of Loneliness” (John Prine) is terrific.

Don’t let Me Be Misunderstood (Nina Simone)—Elvis Costello (not saying I like the latter more, just that I really like it…)

Almost Everything on her Both Sides Now album
Since Joni Mitchell wrote Both Sides Now (on her album "Clouds') does it count as a cover for Judy Collins who first recorded it? Also, I think that all the other songs on the album were also written by Joni Mitchell and I think first recorded by Mitchell on this album. So they shouldn't be covers, or do I misunderstand the meaning of covers. Larry

"Urge for Going" by Tom Rush 1966 (Written by Joni Mitchell but not released until a b-side in 1972). Who covered who? I don't care. I love both versions having grown up in a place I longed to leave.
