This is a pretty interesting design:


The motor turns the lower clear platter which is split. The coupling is induction to the upper half of the lower platter. That in turn rotates the shaft that turns the upper platter holding the LP.



Can't say I was a big fan of the linear tracking mechanism. The cantilever mechanism while seemingly strong, had a week attachment allowing vibrations to easily travel to it. I guess a regular arm would have the same issue.

I think the price was $25,000.

Everything was static display.
