I am finding these one man shows like Luther, Banshee, Justified, etc a bit boring. My gf likes Justified. I think Jack Bauer, John Mclane of die hard 1, and the Bourne of Bourne ultimatum would have kicked the asses of all these lone rangers plus Chuck Norris combined and Dexter would have killed them all.

Btw, Chuck is a nice silly fun thing to watch. Not great, but silly fun

The Wire- still no equal
The Sopranos
Game of Thrones
Mad Men
Seinfeld

Boardwalk is good for 2-3 seasons, then goes downhill. I’m watching the Leftovers now which is super depressing so far.
Watch the Leftovers until the end. It really ends nicely.

In this crazy world we live in television has helped pass the time as we try to stay safe. I just have to say that my wife and I have watched virtually every thing half decent these past few months but I have to say that the absolute best show we are watching this year is YELLOWSTONE which for me is the western version of Succession. Kevin Costner stars as the pstriarch of the Dutton family He’s calm and cool on the outside but don’t mess with him and his 200,000 acre ranch in Montana as he, his family and his hired hands have committed murder and mayhem during the 3 seasons it has aired

For me the star of the show is Kelly Reilly who plays the daughter of John Dutton. She is about as badass as they get. In season 2 she is beaten to a pulp nand lives to seek her revenge

This is a must watch series

The problem is this runs here on channel 5 and I have to watch loads of ads there. It's not like other streaming channels

We started renting 1980s movie award winners to stretch things out.

Completely agree with Steve. Plus the scenery is killer.

We like "Goliath" but you have to be a Billy Bob Thorton fan...

Our throwback quarantine list so far:

Ordinary People
Chariots of Fire
Terms of Endearment
Out of Africa
Rain Man
Driving Mrs Daisy
Romancing the Stone
Flashdance
Do the Right Thing
Sophie’s Choice

It’s been super fun. Think Blue Velvet by Lynch may be up next

Yes, Minister - now that is classic British television. Loved it. The books make good, fun reading too.

The book is excellent. I don't like the sequel yes prime minister. Watch inside no. 9 you will like it

Lucifer is really funny. Starts off ok but the characters develop well and 3 or 4 episodes later you start getting plenty of giggles. Lucifer is about the devil enjoying a sabbatical in LA as a human. Starting second season now

For a moment, I thought you were praising Luther. Then I realised even you wouldn't do that Lol.
