Google Street View: Documenting the world

I think one of the best advances provided by the Internet is how Google is photographing the world. It used to be with cars. And now it is with people walking around. We won't be able to see 1% of earth in our lifetimes. With such tools, we can partly experience it remotely. Here is a short video showing how they are outfitting people to take the images:

I get the advantages but still find the fact that anybody can virtually drive up my street and sit outside of my house a bit creepy.
