Hello everyone!
I’m originally from Chicago, IL. but I relocated to Saint Louis, MO. a few years ago.
When I first “really” got into this hobby, I went through a number of speakers, trying to find what appealed to me (and fit in my budget at the same time).
Long story short, I acquired a set of the VR-2 speakers back in ‘06. Used them briefly and then tried a set of InnerSound hybrid ESL speakers. Had to sell the VR-2 to get the ESLs. Regretted that decision but I sold the speakers to my brother thinking that I’d be able to buy them back easily. Unfortunately, he didn’t want to give them up. Thankfully, he didn’t really use them and recently moved from a house to an apartment and decided to sell them back to me (15 years later!).
I’m grateful to have them back and grateful that he kept the original double boxes, velvet bags, and all associated packing materials. The speakers are now back home with me where they belong and I couldn’t be happier with their performance (better than I remembered!).
Looking forward to taking part in this forum. Very sad to hear that Albert passed away last year. Glad his son is keeping the company going.
