Hoodoo man blues reissue.

I will record this track for you next time from the tape.

I also have the 45rpm reissue. I can record that too maybe :)

Here is the same track from the message #161 @bonzo75 has recorded before on one of his visits somewhere. I recorded from Delmark master tape copy and 45rpm AP vinyl reissue's first pressing

TAPE

45rpm VINLY

Remarks;
It seems Kedar has recorded quite a bit louder than me. I did not try to volume match with that or in between tape and vinyl. I used the same volume setting for both however, they should be close as I have calibrated the gains of tape and vinyl to be around the same when I first set up. This is around my general comfortable listening level.

For the sound; Vinyl remaster has not lost much dynamic contrast, the instruments are distinct, it sounds a tad more clean and it made the track sound more civilized. I prefer the raw natural energy and coherence of the tape version here!

I concur, the Delmark sounds noticeably more vibrant together with additional layering of instruments and vocal creating a more 3 dimensional performance imho, Maybe a touch of reverb in the opening bars ?
