Thanks guys! Yes MB. Selling my C63 and the wife's E350. I got a E63S to save a parking slot :)

The Burmy system is a clear upgrade over the usual H-K. The H-K is no slouch at all but there is a relaxed clarity with the Burmy system. It is very clear that from the design phase everything, particularly the interior architecture of the vehicle was scrutinized. The DSP has improved greatly over the Logic 7 system of 7 years ago. Progress may be incremental year to year but given a long gap, the advances are much more apparent.

As far as other makes, particularly stock offerings, I think Ford's in house audio division stands above all others. No surprise the Explorer is so popular. Well unless you are a criminal since it will likely be an Explorer cop car on your tail LOL

Imagine that Gian. That would bee crazy cool. The all familiar meters could go on the central display :D

On another notee, normally I just have an old iPod classic strapped to my daily . Since iPod Classics have gone the way of the dodo and streaming via bluetooth has always left me cold, I just popped in a USB stick that carries my 320mbps Engine Prime Files. It turns out that on that same stick was a folder of demo files from Leif. From now on it is 16/44.1 on a stick.

This is the first time in my life that I genuinely enjoyed classical music in a car. Two thumbs UP!!!!

I have an AK 2000 my friend and It is always in my camera bag when I travel. I picked it up at Seoul DFS. Etymotics are the IIEMs that I use. :) One day, I would like to get the recording kit for the AK and also someday, I would like to have IEMs molded for my ears :)

The reason I use an iPod is only because the older cars I have support search and play in their infotainment systems. With my AK I can only go in through AUX miniphono. To search I need to handle the AK manually. Impossible while driving.

I joke that the iPOD is the Nespresso of coffee. Yes I am ashamed that I use a Nespresso machine too LOL

While on vacation in Hawaii a couple of years ago, the Explorer I rented for us had an SD slot. I promptly loaded a spare SD I had with music from my laptop and we had a blast driving up and down the volcano. When last year I got assigned a company Explorer, I was really sad that the Philippines version had no SD card slot.

I am very happy that cars today almost always have USB ports from which media can be pulled. For those of us particular about sound quality, I recommend just loading a stick and using this feature. Using Apple or Android Play is convenient when the Spotify loving kids want in on DJ duty but AQ can really suffer as data signal suffers.
