My first post! I have made a decision to purchase a Audio Technica VM740ML for my new Technics SL 1210-GR. My budget is up to $2000 for a new Phono stage however if one stands out to have similar performance and will work great with not only the VM 740ML but any MM, MI, or MC please advise. I have been considering the following thus far and would appreciate some comments on them if you have any.

Whest Two.2
Sutherland 20/20
Musical Surrounding Nova III
Decware (Boutique Tube) ZP3 https://www.decware.com/newsite/ZP3.htm

The Gold Note PH-10 is within your budget, has MM and MC support, many gain/loading options, inputs for two arms, multiple EQ curves, and an optional upgrade path to an external power supply should you decide you want it. Available in black, silver, or gold (champagne) finishes.

Another option that's a bit above budget, and offers absolutely no configurability in exchange for exceptional sound quality is the Tron Convergence.

Industry disclosure: I'm a dealer for both lines.

Thank you for the recommendations. I did take a look at the PH-10 very cool. I will give you a call tomorrow to discuss why you are suggesting this PP over the other choices I am considering.
