The active device will be put to work with non spinning audio components...so not all is lost. I should have trusted my common sense that active isolation fights against the TT. This can be mitigated a bit but not solved by having a passive isolating shelf in between the TT and the Herzan active unit. This is how I did it with my AF1 on an HRS. Only the HRS made direct contact with herzan. The AS2000 and the CA Master Innovation where attenuated when sat directly on my AVI top plate and my TS 140 top plate. These are only my experiences and ymmv. ;)

WOW! What a collection in route to you, Tang!

I continue to be stunned by the absolutely amazing job David did in conceiving of, and in executing, this hugely ambitious AS-2000 project!

David was kind enough to lend me a vintage SPU... SPU-T to be exact with built in transformer 7mV (run into MM input), .17mm Spherical stylus. Track range 3-4 grams. The sound is lush and especially enjoyable for classic rock/pop, Jazz and chamber classical. Not the best trackers...especially for super dynamic stuff. Yet another nice flavor that doesn't cost much to try out...<$1000USD. I just picked up my own copy today for $650. SPU-G/T. Early to mid 1960's cart.

Do you realize that you are getting deeper and deeper into vintage Christian. I don’t think you will end up having s amps and modern dynamic speakers in your your new house.

Kindest regards,
Tang

Dear Christian,

Do you get exhausted when thinking about moving your gears to a new house?

Big system sucks because it is so damn big and heavy. Today my Stacore arrived. Two crates 200+kgs each. 50 meters from truck to my office 3rd floor. No fork lift. No elevator. The Thais are midgets. I had to bring up piece by piece. Right now, have no interest in assembling the rack at all. May be next week some time. It will require four people to assemble this rack. I really need to place this rack and David’s tt in the right place. It would be too pitiful and ridiculous hearing a news of a death of an audiophile from the floor collapse incident. I am not kidding. My room carries such heavy load. David’s tt will arrive next month. I have to do logistical planning. My GammaII weigh around 2 tons. But it was easier. I just realize big and and heavy is a lot easier to handle than small and freakin heavy. Sorry for babbling here. I thought you could feel me. I can’t imagine moving all my gears to a new place.

Kind regards,
Tang
