I "found"* John Leon Lewis on Clubhouse. He is a church choir singer.
I think his baritone voice is wonderful, and I think his vocal talent is considerable. On top of this he appears to be the nicest, gentlest guy you ever could hope to meet.
John is happy to sing jazz, pop, everything. I can think easily of a dozen songs I would like him to cover. I would record him using all the usual audiophile purist recording techniques -- maybe direct-to-disc if such a recording facility were available.
What do you think?
Would you buy an LP or direct master copy tape of cover songs by him?
Should we make him an audiophile recording star?
*I always wanted to be in A&R. : )
