The other day I played a YouTube video of a mega system, Boulder 3010 - 3060 amplification, and Lumen White speakers. I'm not usually one for watching such vids.

But these speakers sounded astonishing; so much presence. So much that i don't even know if it's a good or desireable thing.
But my speakers sound broken ever since.

So what are they like?
Are they all tops and mids, or do they do bass?
Informed opionions requested:)

I heard some at Munich last year in a room with Ayon. It was making very nice sounds. Kevin at Hifi Trading Station in UK has a pair at the moment.

I heard the smaller sized model several times (at a show-room), driven by different amps, and I liked what I heard on all of the occasions. Large, bold sound with gobs of very fine detail and no compression on powerful orchestral passages -- albeit, we didn't play very loud. They were surprisingly good at reproducing lowish bass -- 30-50Hz Hz. They also gave me the impression of being realitvely easy to drive -- but don't quote me on that!

Speculating from memory and comparing to your Stellas, you may find the L-W less weighty but more open to putting forth low-level detail. The details are there with the Stellas as well, of course, but the way the L-W present them makes them effortlessly perceptible; the soundstage was filled with sound cues everywhere and a good sense of relaxing focus -- "relaxing" means I didn't have to think of where the musicians were seated, I could sense it.

But then, you probably have all that with your speakers as well!

I heard White Light with the ceramic tweeter driven by a Robert Koda K-70 a few years back

First couple of tracks sounded great, the dealer put on something I knew and it was a wow moment, the soundstage exploded and it felt like I was in the recorded space.

The dealer recounted running that system at a show. Ken Ishiwata visited the room and hugged the speakers, I saw a photo of him, arm draped over one of the speakers

My god I've just seen the price
£350k.
Well that certainly makes sense in the context of the rest of the system.
Namely a Boulder 3060.
I had thought the Lumen Whites were punching abover their weight.
Turns out they weren't Lumen White speakers
