I am thinking how can sound M 10
I had A1 mono and now M 1 mono
I found big difference between A1 and M1 even if I have a speaker of 98 dB and I listen with 0.3/1 peak watt so no need power but M1 is much better in everything even if the difference is some transistor more and big transformer
Sound come out from speaker more relaxed, instrument bigger and more space between instruments, more weight and dense, more depth and much more natural

M10 is same like M1.1 with more transistor and bigger trans and capacitors
If will have same difference with M 1 that I found between M1 and A1 will be really incredible

Hi Gian,

Do you have the CH phono stage also? And do you have the full fat version with all the separate power supplies? Just wondered in case there was more potential in that route?

Law of margin diminishing return. Even if you trade in M1 at full price, the money is better spent on other components like the rack.

a few ways to look at this type of question.

i have a 97db efficient speaker, but going to a more powerful amplifier (100 watts to 550 watts each into 8 ohms) had considerable musical consequences.....maybe due to my large room and love for large scale music. and one can never underestimate the musical reality value of headroom in an amplifier. it's a game changer.

more recently i was faced with upgrading my 550 watt amps to the newer circuit. feedback i had was very positive on the upgrade. instead i invested in active isolation for both my mono blocks for similar money spent. i have no way to know which choice might sound better as i've not yet heard the newer circuit version of my amps. but.....i know that what the active isolation does suspending disbelief is not otherwise accessible.....and how it compliments other active isolation in my system.

lots of choices. limited budget.

M1.1 sound much better than M1 and cost to Upgrade just title . I will get the M10 mono end on Jan 2020 and I do believed that the M10 will be perform even much much better than M1.1 for sure :)
