One of the all-time greats and one of the last of the greats from the Classic Era. Thank you, Mr. Tyner, for all the great music. RIP.

So much great music from McCoy.

He was one of the best improvisers, on any instrument, ever. Full stop.

He had a beast of a left hand.

My favorite jazz pianist, very influential. To this day they're trying to catch up to his energy (that famous "beast of a left hand").

Here's a video of McCoy live in Norway, 1975, greatly shows his skills. The last couple of minutes is an interview.

And here's "Fly with the wind", possibly his best song, live in Paris 1976.
