I am using a Melco N1A 2EX with two 3TB physical HDDs which can be configured in JBOD, RAID0 or RAID1 mode. My Melco dealer claims that RAID0 results in the best sound quality. Ian Ainsley of Melco seems to suggest the same thing here. I am somewhat skeptical, as RAID 0 is likely to cause a higher CPU load than JBOD.
Does anyone on this forum have experiences to share in comparing the different HD configuration options of Melcos SQ wise?
Thanks a lot
