I wish I were going!

Would somebody please make a note to check on Ballfinger tape machine developments?

Would somebody please make a note to report on Alsyvox speakers?

Would somebody please make a note to report on Tune Audio Avaton speakers?

Thank you!

I wonder if Ralph of Cessaro is bringing his new C1 box speaker this year instead of a big horn system?

Alsyvox? No problem, Ron. It is the strongest reason for me going. Super curious about the 4 panel setup.

Sorry late to come back to this thread, so what day have you guys decided to meet on? If it’s not Friday I’d like to join. I already have dinner planned for Friday night, I will be spending it with Ex colleagues I use to work with in Munich.

GMKF,

Hifi Deluxe runs only through Saturday. First time I went there, I went in late Saturday, thinking I could always come back Sunday, but they were already tearing some of the rooms down. It was actually a bigger show last year than the year before, with quite a few hotel rooms upstairs, along with the big rooms downstairs. A lot of quirky stuff there.

Ron,

Will definitely check all those out. Alsyvox was impressive these past two years, so let's see what the 4 panel beast can do.
I do remember seeing a Cessaro cone speaker in the Bergmann/Kubala-Sosna room, so maybe that's the C1. And they did have the big horns elsewhere.

Apologies, Barry, I just saw this message. In fact I have had to unfortunately cancel my Munich plans this year owing to some work related imperatives. It’s a pity. You guys have fun!

Ralph is bringing the Beta II horn system with basshorns.
https://www.cessaro.de/products/beta-ii/

Oh btw is just finished, so Kedar it is better you don't go listen there...
This is the Cessaro that I first heard at my friend's with an integrated and a cd player. That's how I know the brand. I guess when you heard a potential, the rest is up to you to turn it into Seabiscuit. It is likely Ralph contunues the suck-at Show-good-at-home tradition.

What type of material is used in Cessaro horns?
It is some kind of composite material. Very hard, heavy and inert. Put you hand on while playing you dont feel a thing no vibration. I hear some people commented that they are not as organic sounding as wood one. I think that is more brain and preference talking.

Kind regards,
Tang

I heard Ralph saying, that the former used heavy wood versions were not constant in quality and performance over temperature and humidity changes, even that fast changes could damage the horn. The now used material is flawless working over a wide range of temperature and humidity conditions.
