I see CP3 forced into a contract buyout when he will retire and either travel in the same circles as Melo or he will become aTV sports commentator

Report: Thunder looking to trade Chris Paul 'as soon as they can'

Jason Owens
Yahoo SportsJul 13, 2019, 1:53 AM

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Thunder intend to deal Paul “as soon as they can.”

“The market for Chris Paul is going to be small, but Miami’s at the top of that list,” Wojnarowski said on ESPN’s “Get Up” on Friday. “They’d like to try to get that deal done as soon as they can. I was told there are some other teams too that are going to be discussed.

“Their hope in getting this deal done with Chris Paul was that he doesn’t play a game in a Thunder uniform.”

All for the entertainment.

Stephen A: ...CP3 after a buy out can now join his BROTHER LeBron James. It is funny when he said 'brother'. LOL And who is that Tony beside him? Funny guy too. :D

well I was right yesterday when I said CP3 will need a contract buyout to move on and I guess his target is with the Heat

Good luck to him but his career is on the downward side of being done

So you guys better be sitting for this one

Which team in the NBA has the top duo

https://www.nba.com/video/2019/07/07/20190706-gametime-top-duos-nba
Pound for pound, not counting if they will bring home the title or not, my bet is on the Harden and Westbrook tandem. 2 former MVPs and 2 guys born to shoot. :) Between the 2, they can easily cover 60 points of the team's output or maybe more. Effectiveness-wise, I would pick Kawhi and George They can be relied on in the end game - closer types. LeBron-Davis, I'd say pretty even with Simmons-Embiid. Trying to do the Stockton/Malone or Magic/Kareem thing. Kyrie/KD (if healthy) - Kyrie gets a big upgrade from his bounce passes to Al Horford, as KD is a scoring machine. Since Kyrie has brought his heart and body to NY, he is expected to shoot the lights out as well. Curry/Klay (if healthy) - they've shown it in the past, as potent a duo as can be, and they are champions as a duo.

It is going to be a fantastic season for the NBA next year. Looking forward to watching it.

Road to the title is open and several teams appear to be ready to take on the challenge.

---------------------------------------------------

Pretty fantastic men's final at Wimbledon, too. I'm not a big tennis fan but felt compelled to watch it.

Djokovic and Federer both played fantastic tennis for 5 hours but the Serb pulled it out in the end

Terrific read about the Brow and his health and the fact that he will enter Free Agency next year

Anthony Davis joins Lake Show with an eye on raising banners
'Winning championships is the only goal,' he says at debut appearance

Nice article. Raises some questions indeed.

"If Davis is such a singular force, why hasn't he been able to duplicate what other great players — Dirk Nowitzki in Dallas and Kawhi in Toronto, to mention a pair — have done without a strong co-star? Davis’ teams made the playoffs only twice and went beyond the first round just once. No question, he is a superior player, but there are major questions as to whether he makes teammates better.

The lack-of-help excuse is no longer with Davis in L.A. He has LeBron, who turns 35 next season but will surely snort fire as he returns from the double indignity of injury and sitting out the playoffs."

Would it have been better if LeBron went to him in New Orleans? But apparently James want fame and fortune, to the max. Didn't I hear Karl Malone say 'nothing else matters except getting the title when he joined the Lakers too? Expectations will be high, very high, for the entire Lakers team to bring in the gold, as their locker room neighbors Clippers are wanting the same gold trophy as well. An LA-LA Western Finals could be the best series we have ever seen in the annals of the NBA.

In this article it is said what I wrote earlier in this thread:
The Brow is prone for injuries.
Not very severe ones but rather often instead

Let's hope the stars align and the 2 LA teams meet in the WC finals. That would be an epic battle.
...that and for the Clippers to win that epic battle :p:cool:

Report: Marcus Morris fires agent, had $41 million deal offered by Clippers

So maybe Rich Paul didn't want Morris to beef up the Clippers to 'protect' the chances of his main boys LeBron and AD. :D Now, Morris has a rude awakening. Welcome to the world of conflict of interest. :D

Jacob Camenker
NBC Sports BostonJul 15, 2019, 3:10 AM

"But according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, Morris turned down an even more lucrative offer from the Clippers, worth roughly $41 million, earlier in free agency. After that, the Clippers shifted their attention to the trade market and acquired Moe Harkless.

And now, Morris has reportedly fired his agent Rich Paul, per Bondy. Paul, of course, represents many notable NBA clients including LeBron James and Anthony Davis, so seeing Morris part with him is interesting. Perhaps Paul overestimated what Morris would be able to get in a bidding war on the open market, and that led to Morris taking a reduced deal."

Was so happy for Dirk that year he won the title.
He is so refreshingly next-door-nice-guy from so many of the other show-and-shine blingsters
