Having installed the Wadax Atlantis Reference DAC in my system, now playing the Divin Marquis, my comments to both Oliver whom I told needs to get one for his own listening and then to Javier for designing and making something to change the what's possible paradigm. I know it has only been a short time but the sound is truly other worldly. I set it up to play 24/7 and by Monday it will have close to 100 hours. The system and the Marquis has never sounded more real and more alive.
Sometimes High End Audio is a lot of fun. I was at the Florida Audio Show last weekend and I met some wonderful people there. I saw some new things that perhaps might fit into one of our companies product mix. I go to look for something I find interesting but look at shows as appetizers never the main course. I know what you can do at a show and I keep that in mind. I was not blown away by anything there but there was as I said some interesting new things.
Yesterday one of the people that I met at the show who is in the Industry came to visit unexpectedly. They have been in the Industry for a long time and represent some very high quality products. They came to talk to me about their products. They spent over two hours mesmerized by sound in my listening room with the Divin Nobless/Wadax/CH Precision system, I think they would stayed a lot longer but I had to leave as I had an important appointment.
My point is not that we are great my point is at sometime if you love music you really need to hear what's possible. I was lucky as a young man that I met Harry Pearson and I got to hear a system that was light years beyond what I had heard before. Harry showed many including designers and dealers what was possible and pushed many to new heights.
