Decided to dip into vinyl for fun. not aiming to better for better sound than my Digital kit. simple Thorens TD 209 and Graham Slee phonostage. Has anybody used MSB Analog DAC analog RCA input for phonostage. I do not like a preamp with my MSB kit so I'm running phono int Analog DAC as preamp

That's a fun project!

But does the line stage input of the MSB convert your analog phono signal to digital? Or does the DAC somehow through-put the analog phono signal directly to your amplifiers without any ADC happening?

don't know the details of the MSB Analog dac, but my MSB Select II uses a passive analog output and if you add another input it stays analog. it's a fantastic analog preamp, and almost as good as my $40k darTZeel active preamp....very close to the same performance.

It stays analog.
With Analog DAC, I suggest the use of a preamp. In the OP's case, perhaps a full function preamp instead of the Graham Slee. A Luxman CL-38uC would be a good choice.
