recently purchased a Cambridge Audio SR20 (100w/ch) to drive my maggies. after almost a month i am not happy with the pairing. it is pretty good on jazz and some classical, mostly chamber, but very harsh in the upper end on symphonic. i kept hoping that after a break-in period it would smooth out. i called today to ask for a return ticket. so now i am in the market again. price range is no higher than $650. top on my list is the emotiva pt-100 and A-300 combo. second is a b stock Outlaw Audio RR2150 discontinued receiver. any advice or suggestions would be welcome

I've had the small Maggies in the past and powered it with a Classe' 100w amp. Sounded amazing. I'm running the Maggie 1.7i speakers now and power them with the Parasound Integrated. Think it's about 240w/channel at 4ohms. Plenty of power for these babies! I also have a pair of Parasound JC-1 amps.... knocked my socks off!!
