I have ordered Cpc plugs and sockets are available
in different sizes in Metal or Teflon.
They are easier to change and more secure against vacuum leakage.
The dirty water container with lid is easier to change.

You can buy the same machine with a different rolling mechanism from many places like Elusive disc.

Out of my entire collection I probably have about 200 units that need a thorough cleaning. Some are quite valuable. I know there are people who deep clean brand new LP's but I don't really think it's necessary. If anyone knows of a service that will clean LP's, in a nice , ultrasonic machine, I'd be happy to pay a reasonable price for that service.

Well just 6 weeks after augmenting my 2 decade old VPI 16.5 vacuum RCM with a gently used Kirmuss ultrasonic RCM, I’ve come to two conclusions:

  • Ultrasonic cleaning implemented well is a big step up from wet scrub and vacuum LP cleaning.
  • At 57 life is passing by too fast to spend so much time and physical effort manually cleaning records!

So I just flipped my new-to-me Kirmuss. Tomorrow it’s heading to a new and appreciative home. The VPI is on the chopping block too. Yesterday I bought a Degritter to replace both. At 4x the price of all prior RCM purchases, the Degritter was freakin’ expensive. However my understanding is that cleaning records with the fully automated Degritter requires about as much effort as making toast. That is music to my ears. More listening and less scrubbing! :D:D:D
