Hi,

I wish to record concerts on FM radio.
Having a Burmester tuner, reception is truly excellent.
What could I use to record it ? Buy again a DAT device ?
A tape recorder (Studer or else) ?
What else ?

For light duty digital recording, I like the Tascam DR-05, $90, works well, sounds good.

Given the bandwidth of FM, recording on Reel to Reel at 7.5 IPS would also be great - so while I do love my Studer decks, any well maintained, calibrated, and aligned R2R should capture an FM broadcast in full fidelity at 7.5 IPS, allowing 90 minutes on a 10.5” reel of 1-mil tape on a 2-track deck or 90 minutes on a 7” reel on a 4-track deck with both sides recorded.
