I need to have work done on the bias circuits on by ARC 610t amps.

I will send them back to Minnesota but if there is a Qualified Tech closer to Florida I would appreciate the suggestion.

Thanks
Brad

I have been in contact with ARC and they suggest it is just the resistors in the bias tube circuit. They said it was easily tested and replaced. Having a local EE/audio friend over Friday to have a look.

The plight of bias is over. With the help of one of the members here that wanted to remain unnamed and my EE friend, the amp is fixed.

One of the members here had the schematics for the 610T and sent me a copy.

My EE friend Phil, figured out the problem. He felt it was more than likely a relay that worked between the 2 banks of 8 tubes when choosing between them via the bias switch.

I order the relay at a cost of $0.95. We finally got around to the installation today and it works perfectly again.

So happy they aren't getting shipped anywhere. Moving them on to a table on their side is bad enough.

Hi Brad ,

Happy listening Brad , those REF 610T’s are keepers , mine is not going anywhere. It’s the last amp William Z Johnson designed .
