Anyone heard the Riviera headphone amp? Would be interested in views.....

I think Mark of Sablon Audio owns a Riviera along with Woo Audio...might ask him. I got the sense he felt that the Woo Audio was superior?

It’s actually the higher power integrated amp I have from Riviera which, whilst it appears ostensibly similar to the headamp, may have some differences in the headamp implementation. A better qualified person to comment would be @onlychild, who owned the purist power amp only iteration of their headamp.

Thanks both. I had their top-line pre-amp on demo when I had the Bernings and worked very well - there was a harmonic richness to the sound but wasn't overblown so maintained speed and precision too. In that sense, a lot like the Bernings.

I would argue that AIC-10 is the better amp overall. I had both the wa33 and the aic-10 at one point, but with that said the wa33 is WONDERFUL, especially with the TC 1266 headphones. I also like how grand the wa33 visually looks, just a beast of a machine!

For me Riviera amp is the best, and his designer;luca Chiomenti,is one of the best.Imai, owner of Audiotekne, told me that Chiomenti is the only one that knows how to do output transformer for tube amp.

Chiomenti produce also with other company ha has KIOM,very special tube amp and horn speaker.
He went in my home in 1994 to listen my system full Audiotekne nd we have a very good relationship
