Good comparisons of the different technologies - belt vs idler. Thanks for posting. (Although they could have dusted the SME 30/2 before the pic !)

Hi Bruce, are you still using your SME for your recordings? What cartridge these days?

I've switched to an Airtight Opus which I am thoroughly enjoying! Upgraded my Koetsu to the Rhodonite Diamond... haven't mounted it yet.....

While of some interest, it's not really a fair comparison. EMT929 is a rather mediocre and sonically simple tonearm IMHO. After we replaced it with FR64s, the EMT930 went to antother level. But agreed, it is not a quiet machine.
