I only chanced upon this guy by accident looking up SET stuff. The presentation of his speakers (similar to Altec VOT) and version of 300B SET's as art, playing music in a NY art gallery is cool.

Like your blog, oh yea, Don Garber built me my first stereo SET amplifier using WE275A triodes back in the mid-90’s when I lived in Oregon (and belonged to the Oregon Triode Society).

I used to hang out at Fi, in TriBeCa in the early 90s. Too bad the store didn't last long. Don was an artist and a fine man!

I read about OTS on Positive Feedback magazine which I used to get at Tower Records along with Listener.

Talking of bizarre but satisfying record shops, I'd have to nominate Cheapo Cheapo on Rupert Street in Soho (the London, UK version).

I used to work in Wardour Street and I sepnt many interesting hours in Cheapo Cheapo in Rupert Street. Sadly it has now long been closed.
