Tidal Weekend Waves as sample, mostly current hip/pop music

Player: PS Audio PerfectWave DAC
To Stereo: Burmester 897> PassLabs XA25
Sub direct drive off XA25
And Berlin R Type II speakers

Listening Notes:
Clear bass notes
Wide cohesive sound stage
Open airy highs
Wow factor
By a long way

Stereo system is a far more note-discrete system
You can hear each note more clearly
Making a much richer music tapestry
Whilst being punchy it’s discrete and easier to consume

Voices in the stereo system stand out front - you can point to the singer and back up singers as discrete entities
Next quality is direct stream to Marantz AV8802A
In the Marantz pre/pro it’s a mixed mess

More like a disco
All punch and oomph no separation or class
Voices disappear into the background Still has its own flavor.

Third is via the Pioneer N70AE to the Marantz system above.
Not really worth discussing. Somewhat unhappy with this result. Japanese unit bought for USD$1457 and upgraded @$1199, total $2656. Maybe good for a second system under a different amp. I need to swap it with the PS Audio DAC in the stereo system to properly test it.

[All components are not standard they are SE treated including Marantz PS Audio and all the amps. Creates greater musical energy reproduction. Details of upgrades are here, I am often asked, which is cool. https://upgradecompany.com/ ] 2DECB4F7-2404-4C5B-9283-684337B77AD0.jpeg
