Little intro:

As a trader I am present here on the WBF mostly to watch debates related to the products I am carrying in my portfolio. Checking if the information is correct and occasionally advice something as well. I learn a lot from the others about other product matches worth checking as well, that's probably the most precious aspect for me. I wish I could contribute more, but as a trader and music reviewer, to cover just hobbies related here, I simply have no more time for doing it. Saying that and having the first hand experience about dealing with Lapizator DACs and matching them with other electronics I suddenly came into recognition that there is one SUPERB product that makes a great match with whole universe of preamps and dacs and its name often jumps in the comments after multiple shows or other promo events, where audience had a chance to listen to it, but then it goes into the silence again. That's why I would like to start a thread dedicated to SVEDA AUDIO active loudspeakers.

Little more about the brand:

I leave more details for all interested to find online and just focus on basic Intro into the subject: Sveda Audio is a Polish brand and the brain child of Arek Szweda. They specialise in active loudspeakers and their production range is really simple. It contains one unit configured in D'Appolito design called DAPO or BLIPO, depending on the intention for the monitor to be used, their names are shortcuts for polish "
far-field"and "near-field". Additionally BLIPO had been expanded spec-wise into HOME edition, optimised for the playback made for pleasure in domestic conditions , not monitoring recordings. Since the introduction it went into his Audiophile spec'ed U22 edition, now discontinued and replaced with the U22+. Soon The U22+ Beryllium will hit the market to show the short path fans that nothing needs to be compromised when it comes to the integration of the amplifier and speaker in the one box.

SVEDA also has matching Subs to go together with Blipo for those who are always bass hungry. Most popular and domestically sized model
Wombat and massive monstrous Chupacabra, giving the feeling of living close to the vulcano, if you are the one who needs that.

There is even smaller and equally mighty little active monitor just about to be launched in Sveda stables, but let's leave it for a separate thread, once there will be an interest.

Bellow I am attaching for the start lovely pictures of the Blipo U22+ recently demonstrated in one of the audio salons in Warsaw, PL - The Hi-Ton, if someone likes to come around. Those who are up to date with SA will naturally recognise lovely Mazda Soulful Red painted PACIFIC Dac which had been used in connection with Sveda Blipo loudspeakers & Chupacabra subs during the last edition of Warsaw Audio Show, which those two brands often share for the reason.

This particular pair is finished in exclusive House of Colour HOT PINK paint. Those who are up to the cars will recognise the brand. The man on the chair on the right side is obviously Arek Szweda himself holding introductory speech about the BLIPOs for the visitors.

I would like to cordially invite everyone interested to the discussion. Both those who have heard Blipo with their own ears, as well as those who are genuinely interested in the topic.

Talk soon...

I know the drivers that Sveda speakers utilize and I have vast experience in applying them, also in a similar d'Appolito fashion. I can say with authority that it is IMPOSSIBLE to achieve similar sound in a passive way. Going active squeezes from these relatively small boxes and small drivers - a sound of 3 x bigger and 3 x more expensive 3-way in Passive mode. After hearing Svedas, there is no going back . At least not for that kind of money.
(my pair is satin white)

Gregdee. My colleague will be at the upcoming Warsaw show and I will ask him to audition the Sveda Audio speakers while there. I am a big fan of active speakers, especially for small listening environments. Besides, if Lukaz thinks they are worthy who am I to question it:)

My note is to ask what are the handsome acoustic treatments behind the speakers, which look great especially with the artwork layered on top. Thanks so much!

Hi , sorry for the late answer to your post, but being really busy. Hope that you colleague completed the task and reported to you back on the quality. I didn't attend the WAVS22 either , for the same reason, being overloaded with current work, but my "reporting ears" mentioned to me that GABIs were simply outstanding, way above the BLIPOs, where they should be for the price , if you asked me. But talking serious, watching Lukas and Arek collaborations for years now, and yet working with both of them I honestly didn't ecpect nothing less.

These magnificent Gabi speakers (named Gabi after my no less magmagnificent daughter) are currently for sale. They have 2 weeks on the clock. Height 180cm, weight 220 kg each, 4kilo Watts of power installed in their 8 active monoblocks. All you need is a DAC. The heavy duty stands are thrown in for free.
