are you suggesting we should all switch from cable to fiber ...fiber isn't even available yet by many let alone all ISP's here in the USA

No I'm not suggesting that. I suggest what's in my previous post #19,100, which is what you have on order already :)

Dual Extreme AKA Chapter 11 , I'm in

Just in case my post was unclear beyond the joking:

router / switch / networkcard / extreme is superior to dual extremes. Controversially resets the clock to 5 years ago, though I feel it’s now altogether a bit better than back then.

Just curious Emile, having my Extreme since mid 2019 (so 2-2,5 years past launch): Am I reading correctly between the lines that the initial Extreme back then had quite a bit better performance then it would today (with no add-ons like network card, etc)?

Your Extreme, or mine (the very first), is identical to one produced today (not counting add-ons).

No no, that‘s for sure. :)

I just meant that given the busier network environments of today, the same level of performance as to back in 2019 needs a more refined network.

I removed my sarcastic joke once I reread your post , sorry was driving.

Is the Taiko XDMS iPad app available to download? I don’t see it in the App Store.

It is available via test flight but you need an invite from @EuroDriver

@EuroDriver are you guys back to installing XDMS on users extremes yet? I was holding off until the Roon / XDMS toggle was available, so perhaps now is a great time to revisit this installation. Please let me know.
Ed has started adding new XDMS users again but at a modest pace and it may currently even be on hold since we are devoting 100% processor power lately to fixing a few hurdles in XDMS development. Just send us an email via support@taikoaudio.com requesting XDMS access and we'll respond there.

Here is a recent photo of the Taiko team in Oldenzaal (including their newest team member Khyle on the far right). Proud moment for me as his Dad joining the super team!
Congratulations!

The team generally looks (to a man) like only one, not two, are needed to pick up an Extreme and move it around…..,

I think that’s partly related to the in-house gym that Emile has for the guys to practice in their lunch breaks so they are always ready for lifting Extreme’s and the multitude of copper blocks laying around the factory!

They could do bicep curls with an Extreme in each arm. You should have seen them manhandling the 450lb Alsyxov Raffaello at Munich this year. PROFESSIONALS!!!

Emile apologies if this has been answered again , since the Taiko router takes internet from WAN doesn't it actually operate as a Taiko switch, so in what differs this solution compared to having a second Taiko switch i.e. Taiko router > Taiko switch VS Taiko switch > Taiko switch ??

I was thinking they look like a very tough rugby team. Not a group I'd want to tangle with!
