Gian, because people like you put 40 years, others could ride the experience curve quickly

When it comes to approaching true genius and the audiophile experience we are all just standing on the shoulders of this man
CB080DA1-8888-420F-8718-12F4D9104607.jpeg

Thomas Alva Edison

With his amazing phonograph...

and the great improver and champion of the light bulb (the very symbol of the great idea) and the bulb as genesis seed kernel of the marvellous thermionic valve.

Light, sound, energy and managing energy storage and storing light and sound, he was into it all.

The age of enlightenment has all come through the gifts of Prometheus and the harnessing of energy and the gift of fire to humankind and Edison was pivotal throughout here in such an extraordinarily wide way.

And as seen in this photo also inventor of the giant teacup!

Bless him and all his many technical sound and vision recording and communication gifts to our humble kind.

Edison... DDK... Tang... each learn and pass on and share what they have learnt. It’s ultimately all about lineage of understanding for all of us... and all just a relatively simple matter of a few lovely degrees of separation. We are very much gifted by all those who came before us.

It's not the student, but the teacher. Perhaps you can take some credit.

Reading this, one would think Tang new nothing about music and hifi until 2 years ago.

Seems more like Tang has just come back to one of his old loves, after years earning the right to do so in complete full splendour.

It is true I knew nothing before this past two years Shane. Now I know some. But really the more I learn the more I don't know. This hobby is so very subjective and we cannot be so definite on anything. It is more about finding our own path and the rest is just datapoint. I am also another datapoint and hopefully others can make some use of it. People like Gian, ddk, MikeL, Bonzo, etc. are very generous in giving out info from their experiences. Although they could appear to be very "individualistic" they are honest and very accurate in what they hear. I was into music and hifi since young but I had not been trying to learn until last four years. I have to thanks Steve and his WBF for introducing me to many great friends who teach me stuff here. I also want to thank you Shane for keep introducing music that you listen to. I really enjoy listening to music that you have been posting.

Kind regards,
Tang

If you divide the sing by the cost, you get tang.

Agent orange was also known to effect one’s stalk similarly. Stalk shrivelling is almost an epidemic in the over 60’s audiophile community.

Let’s hope that Tang was dealt a better hand:
