Thinking of upgrading integrated amp

I recently got a pair of Kef R3 speakers. I have had the same integrated amp for more than 30 years - the Yamaha AX500U. Can you tell me if you think the Marantz PM8006 would offer a significant improvement? I want an integrated amp that includes "tape in" and "tape out" connections (or equivalent, such as record in/record out), because I use a CD recorder to make CDs. My Yamaha works fine and has those connections. Marantz is one of the few brands that also seems to have those connections. Thanks.
