congrats on the nice review. i've heard great things about this cartridge; but that it can be very system and precise set-up dependent (which it's not alone in that way).

i would have liked to read about direct comparison to other similar cartridges side by side by the reviewer. but i still liked his comments.

Very interesting review, would love to hear this cartridge. I have heard the Clearaudio Goldfinger Statement, but can’t really say anything about it since i did not know the rest of the system.

I still think about the Red Sparrow that was in my system for a few weeks. Fantastic cart and unique in so many ways. I don't think it was "without fault" as the reviewer says, however. And the Triplanar isn't an arm that comes to mind as an ideal match for it, either. But it can sound fantastic on pivoted arms IME, easily differentiating itself from any MC I've ever heard to be sure.

I listened to Suzaku a couple of times at my friends system so my experience with it is very limited. what I heard is a smooth and a good cartridge playing music but nothing special. for this price point I expect something much much more.

my estimations may not be correct cause I only listened to it a couple of times.
but with kondo IO-M, Airtight PC-1 or Lyra Atlas Lambda I can say there is something wonderful and it can be heard from the first note.

The word "smooth" doesn't come to mind when I think back on the two week audition I had with Red Sparrow.

I admire the Red sparrow in many ways it can be quite transparent in the right set up, it seems to work extremely well with the Vyger, cs port tonearms and not so well in the Airtangent. I have a customer who has one on a ikeda with a BBC Garrard 301 and loves it, I have had mixed results which I am too lazy to go into but it is certainly very capable.

Install at Rhapsody Dallas. Just did a quick optimization on the cart while I was in the area

This set up no longer exists:) It was all dismantled a few weeks ago. The new Rhapsody -DFW is now being organized. We received occupancy about two weeks ago. The M9s will probably be set up within the 2-3 weeks, along with the VYGER/RS.

Acoustic wall hangings (RD Acoustics and Kaiser Acoustics) are going up this week.
