Upgrading JBL 4429s

Hello,

I opened a thread in the tweaks section, but think it's better to relocate it here.
I plan to replicate the crossover with the same values but better components, and put it in an external box (leaving the factory one in place).
How can I test it's done right before plugging it in (to preserve the drivers)?
What inductors would you recommend?

Yes they're awesome. I think that well set up, they can get close to Wilson WP (with less soundstage).

I have a pair originals 4429. Fantastic (unbeatable?) sounding for the price! Very interesting project. Any progress?
