I am not able to convey the impressions before and after. The room was completely empty without devices or speakers. In the beginning, I decided to do the acoustic treatment of the room first and then create the audio systems. I can only convey the impression of the Spendor D9.2. Only in this room can you hear how good the speakers are. Before being placed in this room they were in the main room until the head systems with Fyne audio speakers were made.

I have also made some room treatments but from HOFA the German company. As my electronics are in our living room I was not able to go full out so a little bit of a compromise. My wife compromised more than me.

I tried to measure my room by myself but failed, so HOFA did it twice. Before an after. HOFA proposed the improvements. They ranked them in priority. Huge difference from before and after with the bas traps, absorbers and diffusers installed.

Our room got also more talking friendly.

How did you decide what to put in and where?

Have you measured the result?

As demonstrated in my profile image, I utilized Vicoustic throughout my dedicated room (specifically their Project service where they recommend a suite of products based on room and system information). Very pleased with the sonic and visual results.

When I moved in to my new flat 2 years ago, the sparsely furnished living room was very reverberant. As I filled it in progressively (books, chairs, couch, various decorative objects, etc ..) it naturally improved. I also applied some room treatment (decorative absorbant panels on the front wall, small bass traps in the corners, acoustic curtain on a large side window).

I focused on treating the largest surfaces with absorption.

I did measure the results, and the RT60 is flat, hovering between .3 and .4 seconds. I don't know how effective the acoustic components are, but they do contribute to the results.

Vicoustic created a project based on the given parameters of the room. The selection of elements and the place of installation are carried out according to the project. I did not take measurements because I do not currently have the appropriate equipment for accurate measurements.
