Hi guys, I'm looking for a great SS Class A integrated in the 20k price range.
Needs to be very musical and high current.
I should receive the Vitus SIA-025 Mk2 next week to try out in my system but i don't know much about the new flagship Audio Analogue.
Please share your experience if you have heard one or both of them thanks.
Enjoy Thieliste...sounds like its going to be a heckuva good shootout! Most intrigued by the AA flagship. Very unusually, it specifically states the amp DOUBLES IN CLASS A as it goes down in impedance to 2ohms. 50 watts Class A into 8, 100 watts Class A into 4 and 200 watts Class A into 2...whereas the majority of Class A amps HALVE the amount of Class A output as they go down in impedance.

Yes the Absolute looks like a very impressive beast on paper doubling it's power all the way down to 2 ohms in class A that's not very common.
The SIA-025 is known to be very conservative, it puts out much more current than you could think of.
The Vitus Dealer drives a pair of Apogee Duetta with it and great results.
From what i've red the 025 would be the warmest and the Absolute more neutral but never analytical.
The Absolute might have a better grip on my Thiels, we will see.
Here is the big boy demoed yesterday afternoon in my system.
Didn't have any problem driving my Thiel CS 3.7s in class A mode, the bass was absolutely stunning much better than my Diablo 300.
Huge and very wide soundstage, nice density and liquidity and beautiful midrange.
Many thanks to the dealer for bringing me this beast from Italy within only 48 hours.
Next up is the Vitus SIA-025 Mk2 and i will also see if it's possible to get a Jadis I88 for demo in my system.

Remember that to get the full sound potential of the Vitus, the amp needs to warm up for a very, very long time. This makes demos difficult and can ultimately be annoying for the buyer.

How long do you turn it on before doing critical listening ?
Yesterday i let it run for about 3 hours and found it doesn't get very hot in class A mode at least no where near as hot as the Absolute.

Well, after 3h the sound is acceptable. After 7h, the sound is good. If you want to know what the Vitus is capable of, you should start the next day at the earliest. At least that's how it is at my home.

Well i have to admit the Vitus is a much better match for my speakers than the Audio Analogue.
The Vitus is very smooth and liquid sounding on pretty much all recordings which is not the case of the Absolute.
The Absolute is not as forgiving on bad recordings and with my speakers it can get harsh in the trebel and even much worst with my Diablo 300.
I think that my system is finally very well balanced with Cardas Clear Beyond cabling and the Vitus SIA-025 Mk2.

That's great that you had the chance to audition both amps and found one to suit your system well! Here in Athens, almost all dealers don't give me the chance to take it and keep it home for a few days.. It is really annoying. They tell me to take my amp to their room and listen to the difference there!

You are right not all dealers are ready to lend you the gear but hey at these prices if they are not ready to make the effort too bad for them.
I'm not buying a 22k integrated whithout trying in my system the same applies for expensive cables.
You have to consider the problem when buying. Unfortunately, I have not done so. If you have to know 7h in advance when you want to listen to music, it is very impractical. And if I spend 22k on an amplifier, then it should always sound like 22k. If I always hear only 95%, that's not the point. After all, we are in the hobby and pay all that money to hear the last 5% as well. They make the difference. My ASR Emitter 2 was unproblematic. It sounded acceptable when turned on and pretty much reached full sound quality after 30 minutes. Leaving the Class A amp on 24/7 is very good sound-wise. But one may not want extra heating in the room. And with the skyrocketing energy prices (caused by pandemic and war) and the climate issue, that may not be an option for many either. So you should be clear when buying whether that plays a role.
(Wasn't there a thread on that subject?)
