That cello is looking so big ! And only one uses varnish...

I had four copies , but I threw them away because they weren’t up to Kedars/Generals standards, I gave them to St Vincent de Paul for their bargain bin :)

Price of post 178/177 is approx. 1/100, though largely led by the Campoli. Totally worth it. Those who can afford it should knock themselves out chasing it.

The General got one of his biggest hauls of the mintest, unplayed LPs. Literally anything that you randomly pull out is a Kogan, Rabin, Milstein, Furtwangler szell, etc ed1. No ed2. Over 10000. All in catalogued order. Whoever the guy who bought them when these were 1 quid was a genius with taste.

I like Tartini's Devil's Trill - Oistrakh and I recently found the master tape copy for it! I am excited, it is on its way. Is this one a 1956 UK pressing?

The selection is great again. I know some, and not have heard most of them, so this thread has become a good source for albums and pressings for me. Thanks to General and Tang :)

That is one of the reasons I am -trilled-. It is supposedly dubbed from the tape these first pressings were pressed from. So, even better than a first pressing in my book (if it is real).

That's a little harsh, Bill.
He seems like a fine young man LOL.

Any Bartok in these boxes?

May I ask if that Christian Ferras, Pierre Barbizet - Debussy record is the same with the Everest release (Everest 3140) with different cover. Is it the same program but a different recording or just a different release of the same recording?

I hate you.
I was having a much better morning before that massive incomprehensible FOMO platter.

Keith, if you mean textured, nuanced, dynamic and communicative, then yes.
