I truly had a wonderful time, Bob was a great host and the wife and I got to hear some amazing systems in some truly unique listening rooms — especially the old coal loading room below ground — what a truly unique and acoustically marvelous listening space. Each system was carefully assembled and what seemed like minor details are the “secret sauce” that Bob came up with so that it brings out the best in each of the setups. I can’t truly tell if I enjoyed the Alsyvox Botticelli with Pilium Audio electronics more or the Odeon horn speakers being powered by 1W amps.

Strikingly different and more engaging both emotionally and musically than visiting hi fi shows — Rhapsody Audio Brooklyn was truly a wonderful hi fi experience.

I echo what Thundersnow says - I visited Bob yesterday at the end of a business trip primarily to hear the Alsyvox given the lack of distributor here in the UK, but ended up listening to the other systems too. I learned a lot, heard some great music on some world-class systems which made the flight home all that more relaxing!

Heretic AD612s with Triode Lab 4 watt 2A3 integrated in their new listening room/position at Rhapsody.Audio - Brooklyn.

New Rhapsody.Audio installation of Lorenzo LM1 reference speakers. 96 db efficient. We have already tried them with a 7 watt 300 B amplifier with no issue.

The LM1s are now available for demonstration at the NEW Rhapsody.Audio Manhattan financial district adjunct. We ran out of space in our five rooms in Brooklyn so we now have two locations in NYC for customers to visit and enjoy. We also have the Lorenzo LM-3 model on it's way to Rhapsody Brooklyn, which will be delivered and be available for demonstrations in about two weeks.

The LM1's are quite something to hear. We drove them out of the box with the 300B 7 watt stereo amp and at the first note you could tell they were special. The midrange. The bass. Once people hear the Lorenzo's they will understand what a special speaker it is.

I also heard the system at Munich, which sounded very good. The listening session at Munich is what prompted Rhapsody to become a Lorenzo dealer.

This system right out of the crates imho sounded at a different level vs the Munich listening experience, which we loved. The "space" at Munich was not even a real room and it still sounded great. This alcove space in an overall 3000 sq ft open living loft space serves as a great listening area and also fills the living space with great sound in addition to very focused critical listening from the listening positions.

Normally we would turn on this system and put at least 100-200 hours of playing time on the speakers prior to sitting down and listening. EXCEPT in this case, just for kicks we started with a 300B stereo amp that produces 7 watts, just to see how the 96db efficiency handles the 7 watt stereo amp.

When we turned the system on, we IMMEDIATELY sat down and listened for an hour or two. We were very surprised and sort of amazed and what we were hearing directly out of the crates. I did not even pick up the Ipad. We let the tracks play that were in the queue and just listened.

Imho the speakers sounded like they were fully broken in, although I know the sonics will develop over the next few weeks. The sound envelopes the entire space, immediately throwing a large soundstage with really low enveloping bass but also articulate bass. Noting like 15" woofers to move air even in a very large room/loft.

The midrange is to die for. Full bodied where you sense the entire body of the person singing vs just the head of the singer.

This is a beautiful living space for the family and pets. There are certain acoustic panels AND resonators in the space. There is no need for further treatment than what has been placed with several other speakers in the past in the room.

I personally love listening in this space and this will be the Rhapsody demo listening room for the Lorenzo LM-1s from this time forward. After one day of playing the speakers I am comfortable doing a prospective Lorenzo buyer demo, the LM-1s sound that good to me right now.

The cabinet finish is high quality fine furniture finish, to the likes that I have not prior seen with any audio speaker.

Sorry for the commercial, but I cannot escape my excitement over the LM-1s. Bravo to Miguel, from Lorenzo Audio Labs.

Magico M7 installation at Rhapsody.Audio Brooklyn today -

My helpers (strong) showed up at 9am and I was playing music at 11am. I had already removed the tops of the crates from the M7s as they were delivered yesterday.

We decided to bring the M7s in through a window to avoid a stair case. It worked like a charm!

The M7s are approximately 8' from the rear wall to the back of the M7. Sitting position is 10 ft from the speaker to the listening chairs. Tweeter to tweeter is 9'.

Now staring to run them 24/7 for 200 hours but right out of the crates I'm sitting here enjoying them, streaming Spotify through a Devialet 220.

Eventually they will run with the Pilium Olympus/Zeus, Kondo Kaguras or VAC 200 Watt monos. Using the Extreme server, with the new Taiko Olympus and I/O coming soon along with the VYGER Atlantis TT.
